2017 FACE SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
FACE, Fine Arts, County of Effingham is pleased to announce the recipients of their 2017 Fine Arts Scholarships. Each year, FACE awards up to $3500 in scholarships to Effingham County students to further their education in theater and music. The recipients of the three Fine Arts, Summer Camp awards are: Max Ruholl from T-Town High School and Cecilia Annable and Lucy Annable, who attend Annnable Abbey. All three students will be attending the University of Illinois Youth Music Camp. Max plays trumpet, and Cecilia and Lucy are concentrating on piano. Cecilia, on violin and Lucy, with banjo, entertained the FACE Board during the scholarship presentation with several excellent songs.
Each year, FACE awards two $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors who are pursuing their careers with a college major in Fine Arts. The first scholarship, The Bob and Jeanne Cox Memorial Scholarship for Fine Arts was won by Lauren Siemer from Teutopolis High School. Lauren will be attending Illinois State University with a major in Music Therapy. The second award, The Russ and Barb Kelley Memorial Scholarship for Theater Arts went to Abigail Zaccari of St. Anthony High School. Abigail will be attending Millikin University with a major in Stage Management.
